LGN Run Club's September 1km winner:

OMD International stand on top of LGN's 1km podium with victory from Melanie Pillaud 

Melanie Pillaud was a very happy LGN Run Club member as her September 1km victory (11% improvement) not only put OMD International on LGN's winners podium for the first time, but because she had almost won before when alas her two results straddled our New Year December / January annual LGN 1km clean slate and so didn't count, we at LGN applaud Melanie's running tenacity to win a pair of new shoes.

LGN's Run Club trainer Karl who coaches OMD International said "Fantasic result for Melanie and the LGN Run Club at OMD International, her training efforts deserved to be recognised both by her visible increased fitness and of course material gain (new shoes) and it's nice to see her prioritsing Run Club over her Yoga!"

As with all LGN monthly 1km winners Melanie was sent her LGN golden ticket invite to LGN's Willy Wonka-esc friends at Runners Need for video gait analysis and shoe prize prescription. However, due to illness it was a few extra weeks before Melanie could enjoy her prize presentation.

To begin the Runners Need staff assess Melanie in a pair of 'neutral' running shoes to help underdtand her biomechanis

Melanie then runs on the treadmill and has her running action assessed by video & Dartfish software

Dartfish software helps Runners Need find the perfect shoe for Melanie's running style

With her Saucony shoes prescribed Melanie takes advantage of the large Kings Cross Runners Need store to conduct a thorough road test

Finally we have both our LGN 1km winner & courtesy of Runners Need her winning shoes
