Leela from Vizeum added the August LGN 1km prize to the Vizeum victory in June with a 14% improvement in her time.
So it was back to the Asics flagship store on Argyle Street central London for 3D foot scan, video gait assessment and then the joy of choosing the most appropriate pair of running shoe from the 2011 Asics range.
Asics flagship store was home once more to the LGN Monthly 1km prize
Leela and the Asics assistant compare the new Asics 1160 to her old pair of Asics 1150
After the 3D foot scan it was onto the treadmill for video analysis
The Asics store manager compares Leela's gait while wearing two different shoes (Leela not the store manager!)
And the winning shoe is - d-r-u-m... r-o-l-l... p-l-e-a-s-e..... The Asics 3030, a realtively new shoe to the Asisc range, but one endorsed & worn by LGN's Operations Manager and GB representative runner Ben Noad.
The £103 shoe has luxury levels of cushioning due to using Asics Gel system in both forefoot and rearfoot, it is designed to prevent the injury provoking over pronation by using medial posts + dynamic cradle and finally to prove it's healthy credentials it also boasts an eco friendly material construction.
Congratulations once more to Leela and Vizeum Run Club members who with the aid of LGN trainer Mat have made such positive fitness strides forward in recent months.
Happy running from all the team at LGN!
